Rear Shock play

There is about a 1 mm gap on each side of my rear shock bottom shock mount (where it mounts to the linkage). I can't move it back and forth, but that doesn't mean it won't move when I'm riding. Just wondering if this is normal or a bad thing. Thanks for the help.

mine is the same dont worry bout it. nufns been happening to mine so i aint worried bout it

Thats the way its supposed to be. There is a spacer that runs through the linkage that is just a tad wider. This keeps the shock from rubbing on the linkage as it goes through its travel.
