Im going to cut my front fenders on my yfz soon. I was wondering if any of you have done this before (on any 4 wheeler) and if so how hard is it. What can I do to make it go smooth like marking off the line with a dry erase marker and little stuff like that. What are the best tools to use for the cleanest look? Also Id like to try to put chrome trimming around them, I saw this at the drag race last week and it looked sweet. I've been wondering where I could get the round metal (or aluminum w/e) tubing to do it with. Thanks for the replys in advance men.

when i cut my fenders I used a dry erase marker to figure out where I wanted to cut them. After I got both sides looking the same, I cut them with a hack saw. They'll really easy to cut. Then I smoothed the edges out with some sand paper.

Thanks aussies..

Did everyone else do their pretty much the same way? I am afraid when I start to make the line with the dry erase marker ill never end up getting it straight. How did you guys get it precise?

I talked to a guy who put the chrome/aluminum trim on his fenders...he said he just went to autozone or something liek that and bought the door trim

i used tape to make the lines a little more straight. then i used a dremel with the cutting wheels (make sure you have several) to cut them off. i smoothed it down with some sand paper, and then after that i used steel wool to make it really smooth.

i used a highlighter and a drimal rotery tool. only thing bad about it you have to cut thin and keep on going over it

to mark the line, i used electical tape, this way there is a better chance of the line being straight. to cut it, i heated up an exacto knife and took a few swipes at the plastic. It may take a little bit longer, but it looks really clean

all i used was a dry erase marker to outline it and used a utility knife to cut them..
it ended up looking really good.you might want to take some real fine sandpaper to smooth it out..

I used a dry erase marker to mark my lines, then used a 4 1/2in. angle grinder to make the cut. It turned out really good and then clean the edges up with some sandpaper. I've also used the hacksaw and sawzall method but the angle grinder worked the best!

I made a pattern out of screen so you could use tape any where on it to hold it in place then fliped it over on the other side so you get the exact same line and cut with a hot-knife for tires.

i oulined wiht eletrical tape then cut with a dremel..then after i got done cutting i used the edge of a flat file and smoothed the rough spots out and then went back and forth between the file and sand paper till i got it how i wanted it to look
