Well its been a full 6 months now since the TRX450R has been released to the public. My question is..How is your 450R holding up?So lets hear what kind of maintenance you guys have done so far? What needed to be done on yours?(Im not counting on crashed parts, just maintenance items)

...I only had to do front and rear brake pads,I think i have to do clutch now,its starting to get a little noisey and clutch lever is grabbing pretty far out.

Well I have close to 300 miles on mine. Some MX track, some sand, and lots of trails high in the mountains. Changed the oil three times and the tranny fluid three times and never had a single problem with it so far.

Rock solid!:macho

nuff said.

iv had mine for about a month, i havemt had a lot of time to ride it, but i have bent a tie rod, and also the paint is chiping off 2 parts of the frame. im kind of worried about that.

I bought mine in mid March. I have ridden countless hours on MX tracks. I bent one tie rod, but otherwise it has been rock solid. Until today when I found a big crack in my frame.....

Umm, well running very hard, and just a couple paint chips on the frame is unexpected low stress places, and hoping my life to not crack the frame. . .:( Other then that, fine i guess, very satisfied!

Mine is better than new. I change the oil in the engine every time I ride and the transmission oil every other time.

2 of the 3 bolts that hold the heatshield on to the pipe came out and had a defective bolt in the oil filter cover but other then that i love it

Even though I love this machine, I just recently bent all 4 of my stock a-arms, other then that I think this machine is going to be a bullet proof as my old 440EX.

Mine runs just as good as the day I brought it home in April. Have a couple of spots on my frame from my boots, but that just gives me an excuse to pc it!

Bought mine in Jan. Not alot of hrs, but I wasn't very easy on it either. So far, so good. I've now got the HRC kit installed and will see what a difference it makes.

I don't have alot of hours on mine, but at the dunes it's great and in the woods it is too. No problems at all. But I probably baby mine compared to most everyone else.

iv'e had mine since february and have already bent a valve, collapsed a valve spring, and broke the spirng on the compression release located on the cam. i have spoken to all the shops (curtis sparks, etc.) and have come to the conclusion that i have just had bad luck.

No I don't have a good enough computer, or not enough patience to upload pictures. But, my bro just bought a trailtech riser and the same Renthal Ricky Carmichael bend handle bars for his YFZ450.The trailtech riser is way nicer!

I have had mine since
May, rode it 4-5 times on the dunes and beach (Oregon) and am very, very satisfied with it. Only one time did it take more than one kick to start. Compared to my 400...it's not even close. I keep up with and usually pull pretty good on everything including the "No Fear" nephew and his 440 Canondale.

Sounds like me and MNTNMAN are the same, not thrashing or jumping etc. but riding at 80-90% much of the time. At 43 yrs. old, it hurts too much at the end of the day riding much more than that! Go 450R, you wont be sorry! :)
