Is the 415 bore kit really worth it

ive been reading about this 415, i would never go as high as a 440 cause i heard the engine case cracks, and thats a nono.
i found a kit for $235.00, but thats the kit, how much does it cost to bore the engine?
Is it worth it, i understand it acts like a stock 250R, is that true
how do u guys feel about it??
