I do alot of drag racing. I just want alot more horsepower (to blow away the 4 stroke heads up class) and I would like to know what to do. I have been told the best way to get hp out of a yfz is to get some Cams, and a hi-comp piston, along with a port and polish. I'll be up for anything just give me your ideas. I will spend up to 6 or $700 on this. Thanks in advance.

you will have to check this site out, it has a lot of good information on it to help you! It is a father and son team that works on YFZs and tells you how you can do it
www.eskimo.com/~daddog/index.htm
you can also find him on bluetraxx.com helping people:D

Thanks for the help guys. How much less reliable will it be if I port and polish it, put a pair of cams in it, and run 110 or 112 octane? Will it be more likely to blow up, or fry something, or hurt anything in any way?
