Will these things hold up? I have heard they will not last...not very strong? There is a local place to me that has them in stock for $144.00? so i dont have to pay shipping. good deal or what do you guys think...need input

I've had them, twice. I've replaced them, twice. More often than not I hear that they are junk and my experience with them has proven the same. Everybody seems to like AC pretty well, but I personally like the ones from X-Factor that come with the steel pegs as well. I had them on my 400ex, and they worked awesome and hold up VERY well (at the time they were sold by Graydon Proline). Anyways, I've got a set on order for the 450r as well. They're more money than the AC's but I think they're worth it. IMO, if you're planning on getting the less expensive set to use with stock pegs, I'd lean towards the AC set.

Have fun!

I got DG nerfs on my 400 and they are complete $h!t, IDK how but they bent back and rubbed on my tires while we were riding. Now I have a BALD left tire and a big whole burned into my nerf. I had to redrill the holes to push them as far as I could forward, about an inch from the tire. :eek2:

Are you guys talking about the steel ones or aluminum ones? I had a set aluminum DG's on my old 250X and they held up just fine.

I run pretty much all AC stuff now, but I still need to retighten the bolts sometimes too.:o

I had a set of DG Alloys on my 250ex that I never managed to bend...even after many hard rides but the quality never seemed to be great and I was waiting for em to bend or snap.
I recently got a set of Tusk Comp nerfs for the 416 and the quality is far better than that of the DGs IMHO.
I would recommend the X-Factors, ACs, Tusks, and ive heard that the WB nerfs are pretty good but have never seen a set.

i have the old style AC pro pegs. and after 3 years they are still holding up great and i put mine thru a lot of abuse. the teeth are worn down a lot but thats typical. great customer service over at AC too. i def say get some AC nerfs. casey has some DG's on his EX and they are horrible quality

now that 1 is good it got me laughin.....something i never would have thought of

anyways....yea dg is bad..im not sure how their new DG pro pegs are but i dont know if id be willing to spend 200 buxor more on some nerfs then they break or bend....just my .02....get some AC nerf bars proally the best and the last set of nerfs u will need......my ac pro pegs took a lt 250 to the side of them only thing it did was put a small dent in the nerf itself....other than that....they are still holding up and i love them....had them since easter 03 and they are the oldstyle

The new DG propegs have the most foot room to manouver around. My dad has an old set of propegs on his 416ex....they are aluminum bars, but steel pegs and they havent been hurt in over 3 years. Also...tim farr doesnt seem to mind using them!
