help reducing video file size

yea i got a video i made its my best one so far but its 53 mb's so its just a lil bigger then the limit for endioligee(sp) and i tried a right click>sendto>compressed zipper folder but it hardly does anything to make it smaller. so anyone know a probgram i can use to reduce the size? i dont wanna take out the effects and stuff i used to make the video cuz it goes with the music and everything. any help greatly appreciated.

How long is the video? What format is it in? (wmv, mpg, avi)

I have found it extremely difficult to reduce the size of video's. You really have to do it when you produce it... even then, they are still way big!
