its not a secret that Doug Gust has a highly modified Z400, it is bumped up to a 450, because thats what the pro class allows

Well everybody seems to think the TRX450R and YFZ450 are so much better than the LTZ400. When you even up the displacement they about equal. Only difference is the wieght and seat height.

Honestly I don't think Doug would be having the success he has had this year if he would be on a Yamaha or Honda. His Z hasn't given him any trouble and the 450's haven't got all the bugs worked out yet. Just look at Jeremiah Jones, every bit as good a rider as Doug and he is struggling on the Yami. Joining Zuki next year. I think you will see more Yellow machines at the races next year. May not be LTZ400's. Might be LT450R's.

i agree, doug is awesome & to be in his late 30's;but if j.j. would not have had such bad luck,doug prob. would have had a couple more 2nd overalls.i think doug's main reason for such dominating success this season is SUZUKI'S relentless effort to give him & the team what ever they need to win races.....in other words.............100% factory support! i think it great j.j. and other riders will have full factory backing next year,it helps our sport.:D

yeah thats gonna be sick....i think the Z isnt the most impressive quad in stock form but once there tricked out a little i really like them but gust inst just getting on the quad and pushing the throttle...hes an amazing rider and i think the Z is the perfect quad for him...

z450s are gonna be great quads but they better come out with it soon because everyone will get the trx or yfz

Everything on Gusts quad can be bought right off the shelf as proved w/ a teardown in one of the races.. Doug is a great rider and so are many of the other riders.. Just goes to show the Z can be made to run w/ any other brand.. Other quads may have a better platform to begin with, but in racing the end result is who see's the checkers first. It certainly isn't the sea of blue or the Honda's..
