Are there any computer shows or something like that around your area? At these computer shows there are tons of vendors where you can buy each piece and assemble your own PC. i bought i new Dell and took to Ram out of my old pc i built and put it into the dell. Last time i went to a show, 30-40 bucks for 512 MB Ram.

With ram, you get for what u pay for. You wanna buy cheap ram, then thats what u get, but if u pay a good price then you'll end up getting good ram, its upto you. Just goto your local comp. store and buy 256 stick of ram to game, and since you prolly already have 256mb in the comp. You will have 512mb total, and that plenty of ram to game with, if u are serious about gaming, spend the money and buy a new gfx card.

on the main page, click the link that says "Memory - System"

find the kinda RAM you want and click on that, that'll come up with a whole list of places, with the cheapest price at the top of the list.

break out the credit card!! wheeee! :D

No, you need PC1066 Rdram and you HAVE to buy the stuff in pairs because of the way the ram works. I would open the case up and pull a stick out and match it up but it should be http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80456-1 and remember you need 2 sticks of whatever you get.

i am having the same problem. RD Ram is hella expensive. mine is a little slow with my 256, but for as much as more ram costs, i think i can live with it. mine is a Dell 8200. when i bought it, the RD ram was the "wave" of the future. now, its already out!!! i've been thinking that it might be cheaper to get a new motherboard and all of that stuff than to get more ram for mine. thats just a thought too.
