Would a 400ex be a good starting out quad? I've ridden before but never have owned one.I'm13 140lbs I've ridden a quadsport 250 a blaster and a warrior.:devil:

Yeah, for sure. But anything above a 400ex (250r, yfz 450, 450r, etc, etc...) would be good to start with.

are you nuts ....my 250r had a powerband that was almost above me at 13 years old with 8 years of experience (sp?) a 450r is even quicker accelerating and would kill you if you have no time on one and a YFZ is the same way......if i was you i wouldent go over a 400-400ex,Z400,KFX400,DVX400 and so on....how old are you, how much do you weigh, how much have you ridden quads, what kind of quads did you ride.....answers to these qestions should help alot!

Or he could get a yfz or a 450r, and limit the throttle and let it out as he gets used to riding. Save's a lot of time and money in the long run, cause he'll eventualy want a 450 like everybody else.
