400ex or raptor 350...please help

ok i dont know no what to ask for.... im 13 and have experience on 400ex at mx track and pretty much everything else... how do u guys think it compares to raptor 350... please give ur opinions;)

according to dirt wheels, the raptor 350 isnteven in the smae league as a 400ex. in fact, they didnt have much good to say about the raptor 350, even against a 300ex

Dirt wheels is totally right. They say it can barely pull wheelies any more and the warrior was a pretty good wheelier. I have a warrior now and i would suggest u don't get one because there is only a certain level u can go with modding a warrior and and ex you can go way farther.

i have a 400ex, and have ridden the new raptor 350. the only thing that the raptor 350 has going for it is that it looks good. oh, and maybe reverse. the 400ex is much faster and easier to handle that the raptor. i had to pull and pull to get the raptor to wheelie. with my 400ex, just a blip of the throttle and i'm up and running. anyhow, 400ex hands down!!!!!

Actully, I feel that The Raptor 350 should have never been built. It is the same old deisgn as any old war-pig ever had, I think u would be better off on a 300ex!! or even a 250x!!! Just i think that yamaha should have build a new motor design for the "ALL NEW" quad!

get the 400ex......I don't get why people go out and waste sooo much more money on a pretty new raptor 350, when you could pay thousands less and get a used warrior, same damn thing. Get the 400ex, and as you go along, start doing mods to it, it will wake up easly and you will be MUCH more happy with that over the 350:D :cool:

raptor 350 well it sucks i wood say if you are racing any raptor 350 are the 660 go wid the 300ex are 400ex

thanks for the help guys.... now i need to talk my dad into the 400ex.... thats gone be rough cus it doesnt have reverse but where we ride i never need reverse... but thats all i have to do now is talk him into it

the problem is though that about half the people i ride wit have 400exs or 300's..... but after thinkin about it id rather get a 400ex...because the place where we get our bikes the rappy 350 is same price as the 400... but i still gotta talk to my dad about it

i would definaly get the 400ex for a few reasons

1. raptor just came out it will prob have a few kinks that will be worked out over time or maybe not and the 400 has a squeeky clean record for relability.
2 400 lots faster according to that dirt wheels shotout (but who know how reliably the are)
3 when u mod it u can find lots of good used parts around so u dont pay new price all the time (thx god for ebay)
4 you will find lots of nice 400 all ready modded for ya for less than u will ever find a raptor for for a while

and then there the No. 1 reason of all time

ive been lookin around and ive been seein sumthin about honda releasin a 05 400 wit reverse and alot of other changes.... im hopin this does come out but if its to much i can get a left over 03 or 04 for way less at the honda dealer but thanx for all of you guys answers

markk.... id be better off on a 400... my friend has a 300 and i like it but in 2 years or so my knees wuld be hittin the bars as fast as im growin.... and the same for my friend.... im about 5'9 131 pounds and the 400 feels perfect.... but i think what im gone do is jus wait til i get a truck and a job to make buy a new bike and make payments my self

the engine is the same yes but who know it the frame is any good
or will it break i a mouth or two like the z-400s did when they first came out

hhmmmm..... I have an 01 400ex and my friend has an 03 Warrior ( both are piped ) and his is nice but isnt as comfotable as my 400, but when we race his is just as fast as mine ( somethings wrong on mine - time for a rebuild? ) so id say either choice is nice but a 400ex is just a titch better
