ive been racin alot but still gettin alllot of armpump on the mx tracks..and im racin at lorrettas next week so how do u guys reduce armpump on those long rough tracks??

endurance, and practice. A steering stabilizer helps a bit too...

make sure your gear isn't too tight (gloves, shirt cuffs, and wrist band)

aside from riding often and steering damper, the biggest help for arm pump that I've felt is from staying hydrated. drink extra water the day of the race and especially the day before and you'll notice you can last longer.

try cardio stack, it works really well for arm pump

All good advice. If it's hot I usually slam half of the 32oz gatorades right before the race. Helps to stay hydrated and fight off cramps. The gear is a good suggestion. I have to wear t-shirts while racing because the arms are too tight on my jersey's to allow the most movement. Try an easy pull clutch lever, or Rico's washer mod on the steering stem (FAQ forum) Beleive it or not, I've found that having the proper tire pressure will reduce fatigue some.

When your arms start to cramp up. Usually happens in rough terrain or lot's of jumping.

Try some aspirin..About 3 tabs about 2-4 hrs before you ride..

gatorade isnt that good because it is high in sugar, if you get arm pump really fast dont drink gatorade.

aspirin thins out the blood and reduces arm pump

bananas help reduse arm pump because it high in potassium

water water water

try softer grips

dont use the "death grip" stay relaxed

eat healthy stay away from junk food and lay the off soda

take deap breaths while in the air on a jump

if it is really bad look into fasst flex handle bars

theres a few other things to do, i will have to remember.

Best advice you could get right there. The Fasst Flex bars are awesome. I don't even get arm pump anymore.

Try taking some potasium pills, I usually take 2 or 3 about 20 minutes before I head to the line for a moto. Make sure that you drink lots of water with them. This has helped me a lot this year, you'd have to eat 10 bananas to get what 3 pills will give you!

Aspirin does great, but actully i would take 1/2 of an aspirin everyday, But i noticed when i wrecked once, that i blead alot, and it was alot harder to get it to stop, So the best way to get read of it, I think is ride hard as much as u can!

Put some more caster into your steering to reduce the twitch to the bars, then start working on building your shoulder muscles, cause your gonna need em for the heavy steering!!;)

What I do is..I grab a straight lifting bar with 15lbs and curl just my wrist. I do it 3 times a day.:D

hey davids440ex using softer grips will make u grip the bars harder making the forearm muscles tense which will lead to arm pump

what i do before a moto is eat an orange...and the morning before a race i drink a couple glasses or OJ

when jumping...while in the air i loosen up my grip giving my forearm a little break...also hold tight on the bars while in the air will cause u to carry the nose of the bike high too

every ones body dose differnt things, oj for some people has to much acid in it and will not help it all depends on how your body reacts to chemicals, and for that surgrey i could find some more info on it because my one of my friends is thinking about haveing it

heres 2 things i did and i dont get arm pump anymore. if your clutch is hard to pull that will give you arm pump in no time and if you adjust your thumb throttle to be easier that helps alot!

I read in an interview one time that a couple of pros on the GNCC circuit actually dissolve aspirins in their camelbacks.....wont help with MX though:p

I cannot praise this stuff enough. This past weekend at Southwick I rode 2 motos without ARM PUMP. A few of the Pro/Pro-Am riders also where taking this and saying the same thing. The other great thing about this product is the Focus that you get when you are taking it.

Ok this weekend i raced a 2 and 1/2 hour XC race, And i ran it with all i had. And i didnt get arm-pump one time. It is all in the seat time u get on your quad. IMO I think to get the arm-pump outa your way the best thing to do is to ride hard and fast as much as you can! It has helped me alot this year!
