Does anyone know roughly how much chrome-moly tubing costs and where I can get some, does somewhere like Home Depot or Lowes have it? The same for some alluminum (sp). Thanks alot.
The stuff sold at those stores is the mild steel or cold rolled. For specialized stuff that was on your list you will have to goto a Steel supply warehouse, look it up under businesses. Also some scrap yards tend to have a little bit of everything and at a descent savings if it is exactly what you were looking for. I have an idea for Gussets and will probly make them out of chromoly steel rounds, I know of two steel supply houses around my area that will sell me exactly what I want.
The hardware stores do have some aluminum but it's not the fancy T6 stuff or anything.
