Son wants to buy a cobra exhaust system for his 300ex. Not the cobra jet, but the megaphone style. He can get a complete system for $130 + $70 for a spark arrestor. Is this a good system? We dont want to increase the bottom and midrage without sacrificing the top end too much.

He is limited on what he can spend, so is this as good as some of the more expensive slip ons?

No...cobra pipes arent good for anything!

If he is on a small budget, he wont be able to get a good full system. Look into a HMF, Big Gun, or White Brothers slip-ons....

go to www.onlyatv.com , they have HMF slip ons for only 180$, and HMF is one of the best you can get.

DON'T BUY A COBRA. I have one on my 200x, I'm not happy with it, loud, doesn't make much more power, the spark arrester quites it a good bit, but at the expense of power(worth it for me). I really want something different, but I have dg and cobra only, you have alot fo optinions, stock is better than cobra.
