Honda oil??

Hey guys, whats the difference between honda hp4, and the gn4? The owner before me only used the Honda HP4 10w 40 stuff, and swears by it. Also, people say that the red cap mobile 1 is so much better, but why? Is it that much better than the hp4?

from what I always see at the dealership, the HP4 is 10w40 and the GN4 is 20w50

I read all the discussion on this board first, and then went to the dealership for an additional opinion. They recommend to me that I go with synthetic as soon as I was through with the break-in oil on my 2004 400EX. The dealership guys all were running the Honda brand oil in their personal bikes, but could get it for a huge discount as an employee. The icing on the cake was talking to one of their sponsored riders who runs Mobile 1 in all 13 of his bikes. Says he runs it in everything he owns down to the lawnmower and swears by it.
I took his advice and put in a new filter and some Mobile 1 red cap 15W50. Got it from Walmart for less than 1/2 the price of the stuff they were selling at the dealer and I already notice a huge difference in just a few hours on the bike. Runs smooth and much cooler than before.
I am not necessarily touting the Mobile 1 brand......I have read all the arguments over the different brands and don't need to get mixed up in that argument, but I am sold on the synthetics, it's worth the money.
