liquid cooled from the factory, how much more power would it make? 28 is the RWHP right? is it that at the crank?

sorry but liquid cooling won't give it more hp it will just make it run cooler.

It it runs hot ( too hot ) then it can lose some power. liquid would help in that departement but not in real hp.

and yeah she has 27-28hp at the rear wheels. it all depends on the dyno you use.

so i dont understand why people people want liquid cooling so bad on there 400, mine has prolly over heated 1 time in the 2 years ive owned it. and it was because i had like 4 inches of clay on it

it'S just that liquid cooling is alot more reliablecause they are built from the factory over kill so you can mod your motor and beat the h*ll and it will never over heat.

You only have a 416 so it's not that bad but if you have a 440, or like my motor a big 500 there is no way the air can cool it enough to not over heat so you have to get a secondary oil cooler to keep the temp down.

Have you ever noticed that when you run a stock or modified 400 hard for a while, the power fades some? With liquid cooling you get very little, if any, of that. Liquid cooling also allows you to run a higher compression ratio on pump-pi$$ that would otherwise require race-gas on an air-cooled version. Wear and tear, because of lower operating temperatures, would be reduced. Among many other benefits.
I think at the crank they're around 34 stock. It's on the title.

no i have not noticed a loss in power in my 400, but i dont know if we could consider mine very modded, id say moderiately modded.

11:1 comp
87mm piston
HC stage2
5angle valve job
UNI filter
Slip on

as far as everything else i can see now what the strong advantages are. But then u think how the 400ex is already pretty friggin reliable as it is. even without the L/C
