Anyone put on a new rev box on the 450r yet.. I'm looking into getting one soon, had some motor work done now bumbing the stock one quit a bit. What is the stock one set at? What about the dirt bike? Will they swap out??

I heard rev boxes were held up in customs and won't be hitting shelves for a week or two. Stock limiter is 9,800 rpm I think. New rev box will give you an extra 1,000 rpm and change timing curve. Dirt bike cannot be swapped without rewiring it.

CALL CURTIS SPARKS they have a kit that will set up the rev limit just like the dirtbike, but u need to rewire the machine a bit.

I just purcahsed a Vortex ignition from a dealer in portland, or for $400.00 bucks. My buddie has put his on and said it has awaken the beast and it is just as fast or faster than his CRF. He has a HRC kit, 10.5:1 piston and pipe. He said it makes the bike complete. I get mine on Friday and I am racing a 2 day MX event. I will let everyone know how it is.
