Question...

Well here reciently ive been hearing a pinging and like a sss noise coming from the engine... i have adjusted the valves and it still comes back. can someone help?

the 400ex just makes a whining/buzzing sound. it is perfectly normal.

Check the gaskets for leaks but if thats not it and it's not to loud don't worry about it. But if it's pretty loud get it check out.

The pinging could be spark knock. What fuel are you running? I'm not guaranteeing this, but it is a possibility. The sssss sound is normal, well, on mine, and yes, check for head gasket leaks. I spray soapy water around the gasket. When it bubbles, there is a leak.
