I have a JE 88mm piston. They tell me this makes it a 425. Is it best to put a sleeve in or just bore the stock sleeve out?

If it's for a 425 than you do not have to sleeve it.The 425 is the highest you can go without resleeving.Bore the stock cylinder but if you have any problems with the 425 your only choice then is to resleeve or go to 440.

You can just bore the stock sleeve for that. Thats the best way because I heard if you go with a cast sleeve it will swell under heat and seize the motor.

Either. You can bore the existing sleeve or you can install a big bore sleeve that is set up for 88 - 89.5mm pistons.
