BAD-

Well 1st part of my day was one of the worst I've had in awhile, I went to town with my motorcycle(1972 suzuki 250 2-stroke, piped, drag ported, and open air filter) on the way back near my house I popped a little wheelie, well this wheelie got out of hand, ended up standing the bike straight up, then it layed over and ruined some guages, lights and such, most likely about 100$ worth of stuff. I ended up with a nice scratched up side, not too bad...

GOOD-

So I came home and started working on my 1950 chevy stepside truck that I've been working on almost every day all day for the last 4-5 months, I had spend the last few months fabing a new radiator for it, cleaning, repainting many things from fenders to intake manifold, new electrical lines, also fabing new exhaust system and such like that, well today was the day I finally tried to get the fuel to the motor and try to start it. I manually pushed the starter to the starter gear, watched as the fuel pump bowl filled, then the fuel cleaner bowl filled, then went in the cab, pulled the choke, hit the starter, gas it some gas and "RUMMMMM"..... it started!!! At the age of 16 I think thats pretty damn good! :p :macho :D  .-darren

Awesome Darren! Get on MSN sometime, you never let me know about these kind of things anymore:grr: .

Oh and Megan got mad at me because she found a new guy ( ) and told me that you and I should make a trip to visit Melissa so I'll be happy again. So up for an "End of Summer" trip to Nebraska?:D

Darren, drive that beast over! (Put the bike in the back and drive the Chevy). We got my dad's Ford '77 XLT running...thing is actually a beast for a Ford. This was my first time driving a 350 V8 and this thing has some balls...3rd gear (has 4 gears) and somehow I'm only at 15 mph, little gas...shoots right up! This thing has MONSTOROUS amounts of torque.

What's the engine in your chevy? If you want something with a little bit more balls, we have a 351 lying around with a transmission from a 6 cylinder (smaller gearing), we could put the Eldebrock 4-barrel carb on it with some headers...that'd make it growl;) .

just when I was looking at it bad in the day, there was a really nasty dent in the hood from when a tree fell on it.-

this is the engine when I 1st got it-http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid132/p29a645bb362a49979ecf634bcdb23560/f79ed1d5.jpg
this one is somewhat recently, I have the rear fenders redone tarped behind the truck, they are waiting for the box to be sanded and repainted. this is also while i was repainted cowl so the plastic is over where it would be so no rain got in the cab-http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid132/pbafe5798a89ac7286fe73b2638b5978e/f79ed1da.jpg
this last one is before I repainted the carb and air cleaner frame gloss black to go better with the rest I though. The only thing left really in the engine at the moment is the alternater and the block itself.http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid132/p5a0ad6a0f3d5cad0caea1053e87ff90f/f79ed1df.jpg

the interior is somewhat redone, i totally redid the heater and the seat is in the process of being reappolstered, just to give you an idea:p -darren

My Subaru will still waste it on the trails...Darren and I are just talking about good times with that beast riding on the trails.

Darren, maybe we'll drive down when the summer is almost over. Maybe the last weekend or something? I'm out...later.

Awsome truck. I want to do the same thing, well kind of, I just don't have the time, and haven't found a truck I want to get yet.
