400ex port

has anyone went from a bore kit and then added the port and polish after,if so was it worth the money for the extra power.

Someones gotta know. Does it make a big difference with port polish and bigger valves? Oh and BUMP:confused:

Kilbanshee on here did that, try PM'ing him. If it's ported correctly you should see a noticeable improvement, especially mid & top. Just make sure you tell whoever is porting it, exactly what kind of riding you do, the bike's mods, and what you expect (would like).

mine has those mods but was all done at the same time so I dont know what the difference would be without them. I would guess it helps a good amount...

I don't know if it would help alot. I heard a stock 400ex flows pretty well.

I'm sure you would gain some top end, but as far as it being a big improvement. I wouldn't think that mod alone would be that great. Whatever you do to that bike in the future the porting would definately help. Getting the valves done with it might be a different story.
