Bent plastic tip!

If you have ever rolled, or tipped your quad, and you notice that where the plastic was bent, it turns white? Well, my friend and I found a solution! We used a heat gun on his quad, Warrior with blue plastic. Got the plastic hot, but not enough to melt it, and the white goes away! Any else ever done this?
