IS ANYONE RUNNING FULL SYNTHETIC?

THANKS

Yeah i run hondas full synthetic. I just did the break in the way that Duncan Racing's 4-stroke break in sheet says and switched after the last ride cycle. Go to their web site and look under the instructions or faq link i can't remember which it is.

Does your clutch slip at all since you're running synthetic? I heard somewhere that YFZ's like to start slipping clutches on synthetic oils.

only if they have friction reducers added. some are made for wet clutches and do not have them added. for example amsoil 0w40 4 stroke oil

Mobile 1 Red cap from wallmart for 20-22 bucks for 5 quarts does not have the addatives.
Look on the back of the jug. there is a circle and you dont want the fuel conservative bs. I dont remember all the BS, but if you look at a few diffrent oils, you will see what I am talking about.

I would not run a full synthetic oil in your YFZ. I always ran it in my 400ex and never had problems but when My buddy put it in his YFZ he went through two clutches within 6 months. Ruby from DFR recomended not using sythentic anymore. Just an Idea

BS...I am calling it.

Run the red cap mobil 1 15w-50...and be done with it. 1/2 the race quads out their run it with zero issues, if you have a clutch problem...start looking at the rider!!!

Ranger400ex,
I have to agree with you on that. I was curious to why know one else has burned up as many clutches as my buddy but he is a pro and does win races so he must be doing something right.
