my yfz proklems yes problems

the day after i bought it, it blew the freeze plugs out of motor,
yamaha fixed it

2 weeks ago the arm bent and the tie rod bent also,
yamaha fixed

it had an oil leak on top of the oil tank,
yamaha fixed

wednesday it blew up again,

it has 20 hours on it, must be the first one off the line monday, or the last one off the line friday, this is the only one i know of with these problems, i do not ride it hard it is babyed ind i take care of it do not get me wrong i love my yfz and i am not knocking them at all but i am having some major problems with it

Not to get off subject but are there any good riding spots in Chilicothe? I work in Piketon not too far away. I was told there were some nice areas to ride up there, but the person that told me that didn't know where they were so I wasn't sure if he knew what he was talking about!

I already had two Honda's and I bought a new YFZ last week. i have about 6hrs on it and not one problem so far. atl855 I hope you get the bugs worked out of your YFZ.

When you say freeze plugs could you decsribe that a little better because I'm confused,I didn't know there were freeze plugs.Now there is a decompression plug that has been known to blow out usually when the motor is over filled with oil.As far as the a arm and tie rod was Yamaha to blame for this?Please explain.How did it blow up?What happened?Not trying to flame but this is a Honda site and this will just get a bunch of chit started,Honda is better than Yamaha.......blah blah blah.

i completely understand, the rubber cam plugs, it shot fire and oil 4 feet out the cam plugs, the control arm bent when i was in breaking whoops and when it bent the tire went out causing the tir rod to bend also yamaha was great in replacing it i did not hai anything and i also have a ltz400 and i am looking for a cheep 400ex also it does not matter what quad any one rides, just as long as we can all getalong and ride together

i just bought a new 2005 Honda 450R and the first day i rode it the engine melted and exploded in a huge 15 foot ball of fire and oil and brimstone!, i think the entire bike was constructed of a thin-guage aluminum foil.

honda wouldnt fix it... :grr: luckily my YFZ has over 100 hours on it and no problems!!
