250R axle doesn't fit 400EX

I'm confused. When I put a 250R axle on my 400EX it looks like it's a 1/2 inch off center, and the stock lock nut assm. doesn't even tighten up to the carrier. Everybody says that a 250R axle will fit on a 400EX with 250R hubs. Am I missing something?

You need the250R collar /lock nut assm.

Are you using a 250R locknut also? It worked on mine now for about a year now.
