hot wireing

ok on a 2001 400ex the igntion has a green. red. black and a black wire with a white line, do u put the black and black/white wires together to hot wire it?

im almost positive its the red and black u tie together and the others u just tape off. ill check tonight on my bike to see how mine is

u wish chris, but on a SERIOUS NOT, since i hot wired my bike, about an hour ago i have to keep the choke on atleast half way, and in any gear above first it will bog down and almost kit if it come onto the throttle, also my bike is ticking really loud...anyone have a diagnosis (sp) thanx, please help soooooooon!
