HAHHAHHAHHAAHH, man, it is funny how people exagerate the size of their jumps. Birch Creek has the longest jump on the MX GNC tour and it is "only" 115 feet. VERY few people (not pro) hit it. And, by the way, jumps are measured from tip to tip, not begining take off to end of landing.

Here is a pic of a buddy of mine, I challenge anyone, not pro, to tell me they jump a bigger jump and prove it (with a pic). Oh, it is only 85 feet.

Full bore, fifth gear pinned I've cleared an 85 ft triple. Thats the absolute longest jump I have cleared. I'm not afraid to jump, I'm just not real good at it LOL

Here is a pic of me on a small 40 ft double lapping a squid

Here is a pic of me casing a 65ft triple on the 1st lap. It hurt but I figured it out on the 2nd lap and started making time. There are 3 doubles in a row just before the triple and you have to get them right to clear the triple.

dude 90 feet is not that hard a good set of modified shocks and your set to go....jumps are not as much a judge of skill as they are a judge of balls!

yeah i mean any body can do it, but they are intimidating, like me i use to see this 40-45' double like in my post above and say im never going to do this, well that day came and i did it, it was very intimidating and thoughts would run around in my ahead what happens if i kase it so on so forth, but its all in the head

07-30-2004, 10:45 AM
I think in High school track the highest I ever jumped was 5'-10" and the longest was 19' and some change been to many years ago to remember

Read again, I didn't say it was hard or un-do-able. I just said it is funny how people exagerate the length/size of their jumps. Ask anyone, at just about any track how far they have jumped and 'most" will come up with some off the wall number. I see guys all the time at the track that I know don't jump anything bigger than 30-35 feet and swear up and down it is 50-60 feet. Kinda like fishing stories, was a guppie, but it had to weigh at least 25 lbs. :D

This is my biggest. Its the "Bonzai" jump at Sleepy Hollow MX park, PA. The shortest you could come up is like 70ft.... but it has a large downhill landing and most of the people that jump it land around 90ft. Sorry I only have a video:

most of the 80fters i see here look to be about 60-65 ft.

i think this is the longest ive hit its a triple at a track in long island ny
i would say between 80-90ft

07-31-2004, 07:01 AM
I hit the tripple at Casey on my 440ex. At the national they say it is 110ft., but I think it is more like 85 feet. I've also cased it on a 65ft. triple and broke my clutch perch and brake levers off when I flipped over the bars. After seeing 3 people brake bones on that jump it is now a 75 foot table top landing double. I would say I'm at least 15ft. off of the ground now. It's a rush! I may not be hitting any of those for a while now because I broke my neck last week at a fair races when I came up short on a small tripple and at the upramp of the next jump. All I have are videos of me hitting those jumps I talked about.

Yeah, Tony is a crazy man behind the bars of a quad. He, how do you youngsters say it, has "mad sack". He went up to Easton this past weekend and hit that big double again, what is scary is that he is only 5 6 months removed from beaking his femur. Still limps a little, but not slowing him down any.

i attempted a 101' step up today at practice and tried to flat land on top instead of downside which is about 85 feet and i landed there but i bounced real hard and i was going to try and downside it but my wrist was hurting real bad...

i did a 75' tabletop and got about 12 feet high. i have a video but no pics. this thing had a 75 degree lip so you could hit it 4th tapped and hit the back breaks and nosedive out and get like 2 seconds of airtime

Actually Scootie Mac is talking about me . Tony Parsons I was just up there last week . for the very first time since December 28 , 2003 When i got flown out of there , ( Broke my left femur and a coulple of ribs) I used to ride there alot before then , When i was there last week I was ther with a few friends that live near me and a couple of guys from JRD Racing Joe jr. and Don L. I have walked that jump out before and to down side it safe and clean its Almost 80 foot . Really sends you up high too. Go on the website i am on there and i was the VERY FIRST person on a quad to jump it (Ask the owner Dave Segal) 250r mike PM me i will be going up there alot this summer to practice and would love to have some other guys on quads up there to ride with. Mostly bikes up there. Even last Sat. it was probably 10 quads and 50 bikes Great place to ride though , Anyone else going PM me or email me fasttonyp@aol.com Thanks Tony:)
