Does anyone know where to get this air filter? (for the cheapest?) Also, What parts do you use from the stock filter. Just the little cage that goes on the inside? Also, Do they mount just like a stock air filter? Thanks!

Try the site sponser for the best price. All you use from the stock setup is the cage. Most places sell the Uni for around $25.You will not be dissapointed in the performance of the Uni excellent flow and maximum protection from dirt and debris.Mounting is exactley like stock.

If your getting it for a 400ex, it does come with a new cage. It also comes with a new clamp to hold it on. I believe C&D sells them for around $25, thats where I got mine:cool:

The reason I asked why you need the cge is becuase I don't have one. When I got my bike, it had a K&N on it. I like the K&N, but I like my foam filters better. I have a lot more oils and stuff for them, and I'm relatively new to them. I'm probably going to sell my K&N soon... I just like foams better. Well, anyways, thanks! I'll give C&D a call, and order a new UNI!

Can anyone please verify if it comes with it's cage? Some say yes, and others say no? Anyone got one from C&D? And, does it come with the cage that goes inside the filter?

it comes with its own cage. it is different from stock but it serves the same purpose. so, you won't need a stock cage with the uni on a 400ex. give C&D a call

If it's for a 400EX, then yes it comes with a cage and clamp. It mounts just like the stocker but the filter itself is bigger. Just be careful and don't tighten the clamp excessively, as you can bend the lip on the UNI cage and potentially cause an air leak; just snug it up enough that it won't fall off and you're good to go.

thats true about mounting it. also, if you tighten it too tight, it has a tendency to slide off. i usually try to find a happy medium where it is hard to pull the filter off after i get it tightened down. the way it mounts is the one think i don't like about the uni.
