how much does a 98 model 2.4 have at the rear wheels

i was wondering because today i was watching TRUCKS and they dynoed a chevy extreme that is rated and 200HP +/- to the crank but lost a whopping 57 HP to the rear wheels.

if my frontier is that inefficient it would have less than 100HP at the rear wheels

thanks in advance

acctually the new nissans i forgot which type-they got 300 horsepower v8 supercharged...i think it might be the frontier but not sure....200hp sounds real low for that tho esp. just at the fly wheel....what is it a 4 banger?

my bad...i was right about the supercharging....but its only a v6 making 210 horsepower and 246 ft. lbs of torque.....but thats the v6...and thats turbocharged...

^^^^can tow 5,000 pounds

the 2.4l on the other hand put out 143 hp and 154 ft. lbs. of torque

^^^^can tow 3500 pounds tho

although these numbers are low...i got them right off there site...but at least the numbers translate:devil:

dont worry, if its an automatic, your truck might be around 100hp to the rear wheels....give or take....

thanks for the info it is a stick shift. 2.4liter straight 4 cylinder

mofo is an automatic less efficient than a stick or more efficient

sticks are generally more efficient because theres generally more gears n stuff than auto unless u rev it up high to accelerate with a stick

you'll have more power loss through an automatic transmission.

Well i don't know my numbers but my dad has a 94 nissan pickup wit the 2.4 as well as we have a 87 nissan pathfinder with a 2.4..... Thats a real good little engine.....It can lack power but all 4 bangers do my dads truck is geared a bit higher and u can feel the lose of power that u can pull up hills big time....the old pathy had lower gearing and it would pull around good just not go over 65mph lol but i'll tell ya what i just got a 98 pathfinder this winter with the 3.3 V6 and man its a pretty nice engine a little more power than them little fourbangers yet still not 2 big either.... Gotta love nissan though:devil: I really wouldn't mind tryin out the newest pathy's wit the 3.5s in em or a titan wit the 5.6 V8 but i think a frontier with the supercharged 3.3 would be real fun 2 lol :macho
