450r fan

i have a 450r and when im out riding i can feel the motor getting really hot on my leg and i was just wondering does my fan work? i never hear it running, is it normal for my engine to be running so hot it hurts my leg? i have an hmf pipe so i guess if it was running i couldnt hear it..

its normal for the engine to get hot..you put your leg on a hot engine & your gonna get burned

the engines ussualy have to get pretty darn hot for the fan to go on, I'm sure after a hard day of racing, it will turn on.

Every quad is different, a Predators fan goes on as soon as it warms up but yet most other ones go on after the engine gets fairly hot, dont worry-the fan on my 400ex never kicked in yet either ;) :D
