I have a set of Tags that I have to get put on tomorrow night and grease my new steering stem and Ill be good cept for the bent right front hub which doesnt matter unless I travel over 30mph on the road. :mad:

Like I said, if I can get someone to go out there with me then Ill go...I just dont want to drive 8 hrs by myself.

Im thinkin that if I get to go I can leave here at 3-4 on Friday and get there round 11-12pm. Ride all day Saturday, ride Sunday morning and leave round 2.

Summersville GNCC is Sept 25th (Saturday). After the race, so all you racer type fellars won't have to drive a bunch, why don't we have the ride from Sunday the 26th through Tuesday the 28th. A little different twist to the ride but saves alot of people from having to drive as much. Just a suggestion.

There's an idea... taking the H/M trip up a notch. A group of our sub contractors at work are headin down the first week in Sept... they are renting out some type of cabin... I'll get the low down when they get back.

I have been ridin' the H/M all weekend. I live close to them and I rode Rockhouse, Dingess Run, and Waterways over the weekend and all the trails look in good shape. About a month ago all of Logan and Williamson got severly flooded and they had a bunch of trails shut down....especially the black diamonds but everything looks up and runnin', you guys should have a good time.

After doing some further looking into the forcast for our trip, things don't look to good. I didn't realize that over 10 inches of rain will be dropped on us by thursday night and even into friday maybe.

I don't mind getting a little wet but I"m not down with being in 5 inches of mud at the campground for 3 days. Or setting up tents in the rain thursday, etc, ect, etc. This thing might need to be postponed...:(

I have the time off work, my crap is packed and ready to go, but i'm not wasting 4 days being in rain and mud if i dont' HAVE too..

Here's what the national weather says about all this....

THE REMNANTS OF HURRICANE FRANCES WILL BE MOVING ALONG OR JUST WEST OF THE APPALACHIAN MOUNTAINS BEGINNING LATE TODAY AND CONTINUING INTO EARLY THURSDAY. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR EXCESSIVE RAINFALL FROM THIS SYSTEM... WHICH COULD CAUSE FLOODING PROBLEMS.

No, not yet. Still shoppin for a nice used one. Brand new they are around $5,000.00. You can't hurt the ute's so I am just waintin around for a nice used one.

I'm not worried about the mud while riding. It's the sitting around in the rain while at camp, walking around in the rain at camp, being in a tent in the rain, oh yeah, the 4 inches of mud that the entire campground will turn into after this rain. And did any of you see wyndzers pics from the trip earlier this year when it rained bad???? The entire campground was under 2 foot of water. Call me a ****** or whatever but I"m not game for spending several hundred dollers to do this trip on top of drive time and what not only to be dissappointed over the whole ordeal. Dewey and K2 only have an hour drive home so no biggy to them but the rest of us have more crap to deal with so you 2's opinion doesn't count...:D

For those that do say piss on the trip, we can all race at sparta on sunday...:o

well i just traded my bike for these babies i'm sure with some powder coating i'll fit right in but i don't elka will be able to do anything for handling, so i'm out for sure, it was working fighting me from goin, but looks like i got my final decision on sunday :rolleyes: :(

talk bout a horrible weekend, sunday were out at the track after a couple hours i ended up wrecking my bike pretty hard, trashed the subframe but came out with only minor scrapes and bruises, probably shoulda hung it up there but i didnt, so we take a break, my buddy who was racing the next day decided to call it quits for the day, but me a and a couple other buddies wanted to keep at it so i took willies bike out, a ktm 520sx, this suckers got an ungodly amount of power, way to much for my little arse, but i've always handled her pretty well up until now, i had just came hauling outta berm, and layed into the next corner, the track was real powdery so it was slick and i was laying into the throttle pretty hard, but i guess she dug down deep enuff to gather some traction and shot across the track before i could even think about gettin outta the throttle and caught a stump and did several beautiful endo's, and my leg got tangled up in the bike and that was all she wrote, doc says it'll be bout 6 weeks before i can even think about getting back on a bike, i tried getting my boot on over my air cast but it didn't fit :rolleyes:

How many people did we have total for this ride anyway???

Rico, from the sounds of it this H/M ride was gonna be small anyway, and prolly even smaller or even nil now thanks to Frances. Don't blame you guys one bit for not wanting to make such a long trip for chitty weather. Maybe we all can hook up some other time and/or another place.

I want to ride sometime, I haven't ridden since the summer H/M.

Talked to Chuckles this morning and he mentioned riding on Saturday. I went to the new Castlerock trailhead in Pineville a couple of weeks back and it was very nice. Ya go to Beckley and from there its about a half hour or so. You guys want to get an early start on Saturday and head down there??? Something new and they have alot of riding. Trail 25 has a bunch of mud holes for ole chuckles as well. If not then lets go somewhere Saturday and ride!!! I'm game for anywhere!!! Let me know if you fellars are interesed.
