dealer mechanics from UTI?

is the pay worth it to go to school to be a mechanic at a dealership? I see the commercials on the speed channel all the time and was just curious.

i work in a ford dealer, went through fords "asset" program.
i've been with ford for 14 years, senior master tech. the money is good, but you have to work hard for it. there are techs that coast through the day and make ok money. and there are techs that come in early and stay late and make good money. there is alot of politics involved working in a dealer, you have to play buy the rules set buy the manufacture, but once you learn the rules and get into a good dealership its not a bad way to earn a living.
