is there any advantages or disadvantages about buying +3 arms rather then buying +2 arms?...like travel wise or steering?

It's gonna depend on how you ue your quad....for example, I wouldn't be going +3 for woods and trail riding for the obvious reasons.:p

+2 is most common for mx and general use....although some xc fellas prefer going only +1.

its for a strictly mx bike...but between the +3 arms and +2 arms..and the different offsets of the wheels...they both cant b over 50 inches...but will the differnet size arms alone be any different from another?

I know that almost if not all pro mx riders use +3's with 4-1 offset. I don't know the exact reason why, but it's gotta be something better. Sorry I can't be of more help.

They use the +3 with 4-1 offset to get the extra travel of a +3 but keep the width of a +2 (Thanks to Colby @ C&D for explaining that same topic to me today!)

check the for sale section if ur interested in some +3 Gibson arms.

I race desert, and use the +3 with a 4-1 offset wheel for the reduced bump steer.
