I heard he tested positive for marijuana and violated the NFL's substance abuse policy again. If he would've reported to training camp this year the NFL would've levied their punishment against him. Because of his contract structure he would have then had to pay back his $3.3 million signing bonus. By retiring he keeps his bonus and now he can smoke all the Jamacan Red Hair he wants.
