twist throttle kits on 450R???

I have a friend that just bought a twist throttle kit for his 400EX and he wants to keep the thumb throttle? I was just wondering if the 400EX throttle kits will work on a 450R and if not what do I need to buy to make it work? They are both a single cable system so the only thing that I would think is different would be the cable length? If I buy a throttle tube and housing will the stock cable work?

The 400 ex cable is bent different where the cable enters the carburater. No way for it to work. Try the motion pro throttle kit.
I have both bikes so I know. Good Luck. :)

Will the throttle tube at least work? I can get a cable for 8 bucks which alot cheaper than 55 for a motion pro kit...
