I have sirius and have had it about a year. I think it is better than XM costs 3 dollars more a month but if you have dish network it is on there free and you also can listen to it on you computer anytime which is bad ***

yea but xms price is going up to 12.99 soon too, so thats not a problem

sirius has more channels and the actual unit and antenna are cheaper, thats why im going with that

plus there is no installation, all wireless

anyone else?

I have xm and it is better in my opinion than sirius. The equipment that xm has is much more compact and cheaper. As for price I don't know where you got the price is going up from? Get a multi year sub if you are worried about that. I got a 5 year 4 I think 7.50 a month way better deal than sirius. You also have to watch that company they are burning through cash so fast they will be bankrupt soon leaving you with nothing.

Oh one last thing, either way you go don't get any equipement that is wireless or has an fm modulator. The sound quality using this method is horrible!! My girlfreind has it set up in her car that way and I have it directly hook up into my stereo in my truck. I cringe when ever I have to ride in her car it really does not do satellite radio and justice.

I got SIRIUS earlier this year... it's one of the best things I ever bought.. especially on trips to the desert...

The 80's station rules.

The 90's station rules.

If I want to gansta out.. the rap stations rule.

I like talk radio.. and it has many talk channels.. from the far left to the conservative... it's great.

New "All NFL" channel.

It's great. I recommend it to everyone.

I don't know anything about XM, so I cannot compare.

Congrats. Enjoy.

Backspin is new. It was just started on the 7th of July. Definitely cool.

It's sad when I know a lot of the words on most "Old School" songs. lol

Does anybody know if I can get Howard Stern on xm or sirius? I just moved from Vegas to Utah and I think I might die without Howard.

is he not on both?

Negative. San Diego (where I live) was one of the cities that lost Howard....

Howard mentioned that it would probably never happen because if listeners used Sirius or XM, the advertisers (especially local advertisers) would lose exposure on the local FM station. Makes sense....

I don't know I would get one if he is on it.

I have both Sirius and XM. I like XM better but both are waaaaayy better than any radio station for sure...

which kit would you reccommend? I plan on getting XM...is the wireless one bad quality? I need something I can take out of my car & put in my locker at school or it will get stolen

Jumbo here's what you can do so you can take your xm. First do you have a radio that has an aux input or a cd changer input? Most new pioneer radios do which makes them easy to hook satellite to. If you don't have either then you have to go the fm modulator way which in my opinion sucks. I like to decribe its sound to a crapy mp3. Its has an echo sound to it. But anyway I would get a xm roady or a roady 2 it is really small and you can put it in your pocket and take it with you. Check out xmradio.com or xmfan.com if you have questions about them.
