'94 Dakota V6 3.9. Bought it used around '98-'99 w/ 50K mi. Put almost another 53K hard mi. on it since. Replaced the front pads and rotors about 2 years ago, one radiator and two water pumps, one was my fault because I let the radiator go too long:(.

The size and power suits me great for what I do:) ;)

Got a 00, quad cab 4x4 5.9 liter auto, My dads has a 98, std cab 5.2 liter 4x4 5-spd. U-joints go bad at low miles, Freeze plug on mine started leaking, Tranny sounds like **** in my dads(gutrag tranny is junk) Got a vibration in the drveline in mine, Overhauled the posi unit in mine, Had alignment issues with mine.

Now to be fair my wife put mine into a feild at 70mph 2 times. Same place. She can't see the stop sign for some reason:rolleyes:

I like mine a lot. even if I've had some trouble with it. My dad won't sell his come hell or high water.

They are nice trucks but not bullet proof

I have a '92 V-6 2wd with a 5 speed, its a good little truck, I just wish I had something bigger now, but its got decent power, its geared very well for take off's, the brakes do suck though. I haven't had anything major go wrong, the waterpump leaks a bit, and the transmission has a small leak around where the driveshaft comes out. And it has been in an accident, but it took it well considering what I hit (old Grand Marquis, aka tank).

Don't buy a 98 or 99, they have chitty tranny's in them. I have a 99 5.2 Durango(pretty much the same thing) and the tranny sucks. I talked to Leo on here about it and he said they put a completely different tranny starting in 00 that is much better.

They used 2 different trannies, I forget what they are for sure. I think its a 500A and a 518A (I can't remember) but anyway one is a version of the 904 torque flight and the 727 torque flight. The 500 is the 904 and its junk. the other isn't to bad. The gutrag 5-spd's are junk also.

well weve had nothing buit problems with ours
heres a list lol
1. we bought it
2. the oil injectors stuck and it would stall every 5 mins.
3.it took 3 minths before the god dam dealership would look at it.
4. then once the dealership fixed the oil problem...the mechanic took it out for a test drive...
where he then slammed it into 3 cars and a school bus:rolleyes:
now the truck just got painted and all the body work done
the fuel pump is bad. so it is sitting for another 3 months!:grr:

not a good experience with dodge:o

I have a 02 quad cab. I really like the truck except the small bed. I can get the quad in no problem but, I have to leave the tailgate down. I bought one of those bed extenders and that helps keep my tires, gas jug,ect in one place.Plus the V-8 is a big plus for pulling/towing.
