There are alot of different ninjas that could be a 250 for all we know. Can you specify the cc's of that?:huh

What led up to thios, I was leading our group around the dunes and came across this location. We were eyeballing it briefly when this other group came along, mostly Banshee riders with the LT Ninja. Then this happened....

At the bottom of the hole there is a pond with one turn around point. Everything else was into the water!:p

Actually it was very warm that week;) I prefer to wear long sleeves whenever I ride. When trail riding the branches don't hurt as much;)

Theres this guy here who owns a Warrior with a 750cc honda streetbike ( I think it was 750 or 700 I can't EXACTLY remember, but it was around those) engine somehow slipped into the frame. That ****er made my ear drum bleed at one point, god. No pipes at all, and the way he had to start it was ridiculous. Had to basically hot wire it from off the side of the frame, but god, did that thing fly.

and I highly doubt that anyone would go through all the trouble of putting the motor in there and only use a 250 cc motor.

I've seen it done plenty of times. There's this guy who drove a banshee in the tt 250cc class, and he wanted to be able to have something other than a 250r. So first he rigged up a banshee frame with a TRI-Z 250 motor. After that he did another project with a different banshee and put a 250 ninja engine inside the frame, again for the 250 tt class. While the engine is small it still does have power and torque and if you have a specific use for it, then your good to go. That engine, I have no clue. Havn't really looked at it either.

Ok, by the looks of the engine (minus that exaust system) it is a ninja 250R engine. Go to http://www.kawasaki.com then to motorcycles. After that look around in ninja sportbikes and find the 250R. If you look thru the pictures you can see that the exausts are in the same place when the engine would be sitting in the same angles of the 2 different frames. Other than that you can just look at the 2 engines and note that they look exactly the same other than the aftermarket pipes that are on the LT'ed 250 ninja.

It looks to me like an older 600+ cc ninja engine. Go back in to the kawasaki web site and look at the ninja 250 again, it looks like they have 5-6 cooling fins on the cylinder. This guys bike doesn't. I have to agree w/ MOFO, no way he puts a 250 motor in it to ride in the dunes.

Just to clean this conversation up this bike is atleast a 600cc ninja motor. The man who made it is also the guy who built the mojaves with the ninja 600 motors in them. If you are an avid follower of the Oregon Dune scene you have probably seen atleast one of them he made like 6 and i believe they are all still being ridden.

Old thread, but i have also seen a quad with a street bike engine, i believe it was a 750, inside a raptor frame and it was black, that quad was insane

Butch works on your bikes too? I rode with him once this fall, and that quad is sick:eek2: If you go way back, he was in the magazines drag racing at Glamis.

Yepp, looks like an old Kawi Ninja heart in that beast. And since it says "Ninja" on the side its a pretty good guess :P That thing would fly dude. No wonder it has the pipes it does and can go up and down hills without breaking a sweat.
