How are you suppose to mount your hot start if you change bars and want to get rid of the kill switch and headlight switch.

Find a new clutch lever that has the hot start on it I have seen them for motorcycles but can't remember the company.

I got the works pro perch just today with the hotstart. Sure looks purdy, but the hs lever works a little wierd . . . maybe just some cable lube needed there. I'll post something about it when I get a chance to run it . . . still fingering out what I'm gonna do about the light/kill box. I'm considering grinding off the area where the hotstart used to be, but havent spent any time messing with it yet.

well, talkin about it gave me the umption to give a whack at it. A little while into the swap, I decided this was way to nice a piece of hardware for me to butcher. The threaded knob on the adjuster is made for a smaller diameter cable than what comes stock, so I would have had to get another, or drill out what I had. Also, the hot start lever was just plain floppy. The stock setup has a little squarish clamp that holds part of the HS cable in place, and without it the lever sort of bounces around. In the end, I'm glad I didn't grind off the old assy as that's what I'll use for a while. In my case, I want to preserve the kill and light switches, so I may as well just use the stock hotstart as well. I could have probably modified it to work, but I just didnt want to tear up such a nice piece of hardware, especially at $125.

if you put the works connection lever with the hot start on the lever you will have to buy another hot start cable. the stock one does not work. i got the work connection on my bike. i got the cable from mark baldwin. he was very helpful. i paid like $25 dollars plus shipping for the cable. i hope this helps.
