balance point and grabber

how did most of u guys get firmiliar w/ ur balance point, trail and error or is there some method. also on a 400ex with the stock grab bar when going back to far will it just scrap and keep u up or will it fall backwards on me like my old 300 did.. thanx

put one foot in grab bar cover rear brake with other foot pratice in 1st gear learn brake control most of all have fun

Your stock 400ex grab bar will stop you from going over backwards, it will make you go back forward again if you hit it belive me ;)

I've almost gone over once on my 400, but it was a slight up-hill, in grass, and mud, and I put to much leverage on the bars when I hit the bar. usually you will just hit the bar and stay there! I just found the ballance point by doin wheelies and letin off the gas, and got used to the point where I could just coast!

i duno about 400ex's but on my 250ex the grab bar hits the ground and im stuck, usually i jsut fall off hte back and pray that the thing dont flip on me. ive only gone over once on a big hill.

huh?i was going to say i never tipped backwards when hitting the grab bar....o well u fall u fall:D

it is almost impossible for the quad to flip back words, unless your doing a wheelie up a hill then thats different, when i do my wheelies i just pop the clutch and get the quad up until i hit the ballencing point, if i pass the point the quad would stop and just sit the with the front end in the air, but iit will only stop if you in 1st gear, if you in scond gear the quad will keep on going if you fall of, thats what the tether is for
