The title pretty much sums it up, any info would be appreciated.

...the cotton K&N filter will let too much dirt and grit in.

I prefer the foam Uni...just keep alot of foam filter oil on it! And clean it alot...

You gotta get a Uni. Their easier to clean and you can almost buy two for the price of a K&N.

Roostin is right, scott, the owner of profab ATV told me when he gets bikes in that people have ran with K&N's for a long time, the cylinder walls feel like sand paper. He wont sell anything but UNI.

If you are a serious racer, and you plan on getting only one season out of a motor and you want top performance...the K&N flows a little more, and thats what I would run with an outerwear.

But the weekend rider, occasional racer, UNI is the safer route.

I've never found dust in the intake tract running from the box to the carb, so I've never worried about it. I have a uni for back up in really dusty conditions. I properly maintain my K&N and I spray down my airbox with filter oil. I also have a lid with an outerwear to keep out water. :p

It's a grimey, sticky mess but it has a lot of dust stuck in it so I know it's making a difference. :p

I like the Sparks filter. If not that then a Uni.

CdaleXtreme...Sparks filter kit comes with foam filter and aluminum peice that fits inside airboot. Gives something to clamp to. Replacement Sparks filter only is about $25. I have spare. Didn't notice big improvement, but should be same or close to UNI.

It doesn't matter what filter u change to.

If you want more flow from an air filter, u have to filter less to get more.

I have an ESR intake on my bike, it's got a k@n filter, and i would say that it doesn't filter as good as the stocker did.
