i am trying to plan a trip to Tug hill for my first time. We have never ridden there before and looking for the best spot to ride and camp or rent a cabin with trail access. There is going to be about 5 of us. We are looking for trails & play areas. I hear there are lots of open rodes, these are fine, as long as there are tighter trails and some play areas !! Please inform me of the best place to go. I want to make the trip worth it. I have searched a couple sites and this site, and have not found real specific places. Any little peice of info would be great.. I hope I am not missing anything obvious on the sites..

Thanks
Jason

I am only up in the tugg hill riejion to snowboard, I'm about 45 muintes south of there. I would tell you to come down to the snad pitts here for a day, dut there have been cop and dec problems lately. As for trails, at tugg hill I got a couple names and nubers of some shops up in that area.
First one is Adirondack Cycle and snow 315-942 2405
And Tug Hill Motor Sports 315-688-4423

The first shop deals more in snowmobiles, and motorcycles, but could probably tell you of some trails. The second one, I just found the card here one day. But it seems like they deal alot more with atv's. Good luck finding some plasce to ride.

Every time we go up, we camp out at Flat Rock Inn. $5 per person per night. Can't beat it, plus its right in the middle of everything. We are actually going this weekend. I believe there is a poker run starting at Marty's. See ya on the trails!

I'm from the Saratoga Springs area. That would be cool. We're always looking for places to ride. We were all wondering if we should go ahead and get a trailpass. I ride with two friends of mine. I have a 400ex and a Blaster. My buddies have a 400ex and a DS650.

I don't really have a need for a trail pass here. all the trails are on ether private land or posted. whitch I hate. I've heard a little about the trail pass thing from like a brocure or something, what exactly is it, I know there will or are some organized leagal trails, but what else does it entail?

Well, I don't have too much info on it, but there are quite a few areas opening up in NY state, just not sure on how the trails are, how organized it is, etc. I've heard its getting bigger though. They also organize a lot of rides in the area.

I'll have to look into it. They better get some legal trails around here! It would be a releaf to be able to go riding on the road and trails and not have to wory about cops and whatnot.

I hear ya...Knock on wood...Haven't had too many problems with them. Friends got a couple tickets last year in Tug Hill for no insurance and the bike was too loud. Oh well.

jgrey- Did those shops help ya out at all for finding some trail? Once you get up there if the trails are good let me know, I'm so close to there it wouldn't make sense not to get up there one day.

And I hope some of the trail pass trails will come up through where I live. I hate having to truck my wheeler somewhere. I'm love just being ably to be about 20 muinutes from the sandpitts by riding trails. I should get a couple friends and go up to tugg hill for a day of riding sometime.

I have no idea where raceino is. And no one knows where poland is. I live here and I barley know where it is lol j/k. Look up poland on www.mapquest.com. It is in the middle of no where, but the pits are fun to ride in.
