Wrong, all Honda's have a problem with the facing flaking off the rocker arms and taking out the cam. Sending the 40 to 50 degree cooler oil in to the head from the outter oil line is the best thing you can do for a 250x,300ex,350x or the 400ex. Also this is the hottest place on the air cooled motor and the highest wear area as far as cams, rockers, valves ect. I have raced and built these motors for 16 years and putting an in line oil cooler in the outter oil line before it goes in to the head works 10 time better than cooling off you oil filter. It takes about 15 min. to instale one and it doubles the life time of the oil.

Mickey- Does the oil cooler for the 300ex increase the time it takes for the quad to warm up during startup. My 300 is really cold blooded as is and I'm worried an oil cooler will make it worse.

Also does your kit use hose clamps to attach to the oil line or compression fittings?

Thanks
Scott

mickey, i was wondering if you sell the fittings for the oil cooler like you have on benson's 345ex, i like how it dosent look like you had to cut any lines and is a totally bolt on set up. thanks

As far as making it warm up slower, no it won't. Turn you fuel screw out 1 turn more and that will help the cold blooded symptons.Yes they use hose clamps.

The fittings Benson put on are out of my warrior kit, but you would have to drill and tap the head and clutch cover like my 400ex kit.
