Finally someone here took me serious about makin a custom PC. I bet he saved enough money to buy those fullbore or handlebars. With a custom PC, you get the best of the best, and a fast clean, pc the suits your needs.

What are some of the things ya got done to your pc?

Every computer I've ever owned was custom built. Too damn expensive to buy them. I get upgrades every 6 months or so.
My next upgrade isn't gonna be until I graduate, and that's just gonna be a faster processer, a dvd/cd burner, and some thing (can't remember what it's called) to be able to hook vcr's/dvd player's/game systems etc up to it, so the monitor acts like a t.v basically, also WinXP.

How much do those pc cases cost?
Mine's no where NEAR that nice, and it cost nearly $200:huh :eek2: (canadian mind u).
I'd love to get one of the ones w/ lights n stuff in them, but there isn't really much point to them, especially with my desk. Because the tower sits in a hole. But I *might* (debating) be buying a mostly glass desk, and I can't remember if the tower holder is glas or not, but if it is, one of them would look sick in there:devil: :blah:

Right now I can't get the damn burner to work and I just put a new one in after the last bit the dust.

Stay away from XP. Just a waste of money and it has WAY too much extra stuff, I'd go with the simple operating systems like Linux (I think that's what it's called). They basically do their job of just being an operating system, and you install whatever you NEED, and not EVERYTHING there is out there like Microsoft does.

gonna have to disagree wit ya. yea it does have a lot extra **** on it. but i think xp is the best operating one out there.

Im really happy with xp and I wouldnt go with anything else

07-22-2004, 09:29 PM
XP > all

sure it has loads of extra features...use them to your advantage..dont try and disbale them with a completely different OS..plus with the right progs..you can cmpletly customize the appearance and make your own desktop.:o

Well, I have to admit that XP is the best operating system out there on a "stock" computer that you buy from a store.

But I would just recommend using a simpler Operating System that doesn't have any extras, and just adding the extras that you want onto the system. Very easy to do and it saves a lot of space and memory.

No i dont have a ****ty computer and yes it did slow my computer down. Im no computer whiz or anything but the skins are alot more detailed and bigger so it uses up your memory and everything just slows down alittle. Some people can notice it like me and others cant like you I guess.
