I see other people with Renthal Bars on a 2002 250EX. I was just wondering how you do that because when I went to the dealer to get aftermarket bars, they told me no one made em. I guess because the ignition and the reverse and neutral lights would need to be relocated..
How can I remount all that stuff? Does anyone know how to do it right without it looking messed up? Do you need to buy another panel or something??

Thanks!

I just put my Renthals off my 400 on my wifes 250EX. You will have to relocate the lights and key. I havent done it yet all that stuff is just hanging right now. I am going to mount the key and lights in the plastic on top of the light but dont really know what to cut the holes in the plastic with

A hole saw works great for boring a new key hole. I can't remember the size tho. You can get them any place that sells drill bits.

Ive bout decided unless I screw somin up on it Im not puttin any more mods on it. After ridin with 5-6 400s for the past 2 days and be the lil guy on a 250 it sux. Ill prolly just keep what I have and get a job this summer and invest in a 400 unless Honda release somin new. O well.

Right now I am happy with the 250EX.. it "fits" me. Im new at ATVing so its cool for now. My hubby has a 400 and when I ride it, I feel like its too big a bike for me both size and speed wise.. with the 250, its really comfy riding, on the 400, I feel really "exposed" or something.. i dunno its weird:blah

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I love my 250ex a lot more than my man's 400ex. It is smaller and is easier to throw around and control. I will probaly keep it forever. I also have no problem keeping up with him unless we are on a long straighaway :) but I also have the Powroll kit, so that helps a lot.

I know I have TAG bars but there was an easier way to mount the lights and key switch without moving them an inch.

First mount the bars, then rite before the screws for the plastic thing that hold the lights and key switch in there, just cut it off with a hack saw and re-attach the plastic thing.

No drilling needed, just a hacksaw, thats how I did it on mine, looks good too.
