Hey, does anyone here got a stock front end setup with revalved shocks setup for mx? Or with a +2 front end. I have heard a couple people say that if you get someone to revalve the stock shocks that they are great. I think derisi has a kit but i am not for sure.

Thanx, Friday

The yfz450 really needs to be revalved for loose terrain not the450r they are fine. my dad bought yfz front shocks for his raptor and they did 100% better on his raptor than on the yfz and he had them revalved and they do better in the dunes than before.

check out gtthunder.com for your fronts. I have been very happy with the work that was done to mine for xc use. I have heard the same - they are a high quality shock and can be made to work very well.

I haven't had the time on the Honda yet to tell. I know that the honda has a better frontend on it. I am testing the Houser Long travel rear end in the honda right now.

Do you want to slow the front or the rear down?
Also is this for MX type riding or XC type?

I've seen a few stock 450r shocks setup zps style at the national TT's. Looks like they had pep spring on them. Any info would be appreciated.:)

Santo: I was wondering is if I setup my stock shocks zps for TTing will I still be able to trail and play ride with them? Right now I have a pair of 400ex shocks on the front of my 450r for flattracking. The ride hieght seem really good, and the sag isn't even that bad, I just need dampening adjustment!! I'm going the the Paduca KY TT in a couple of weeks and would really like to have some adjustment on the fronts. You are the only one I've gotten any info on the subject from...Thanks a bunch!!

Why don't you just spend $500 and send them to elka who will put triple rate springs on all the of your stock shocks and revalue them???
