Are they the same? For some reason I am thinking that Wiseco makes the JE pistons. Am I correct? Thanks

Seems like i heard Wiseco bought JE. JE is a litle higher quality(I bleieve)

I have heard the same thing, from a couple of places, so I think that Chad is correct. I do know that JE pistons are a little more of a high performance-type piston.

JE piston are wiseco piston's but they make a change to it so it can be labeled as theirs..

Actually, I've had both the off the shelf Wiseco 87mm and JE 87mm pistons in my hands. They are quite a bit different.

I do believe that JE and Wiseco are owned by the same parent company (which may be Wiseco?), but that doesn't necessarily mean their products are the same. However, they will use the same rings.

Ross Pistons are lighter in most cases and as good or better quality. Plus Ross has several wrist pin options, including some that are lighter than stock. JE's come with heavy, non tapered pins, Wiseco's come with tapered pins that are similar to stock.
