WB Pro Series Nerf Bars Installation

I just bought a set of White Brothers Pro Series Nerf Bars and they did not come with any instructions. They come with integrated foot pegs, therefore I removed my stock pegs and I installed the replacement pegs which are "inserts" for the actual peg/nerf bars. I then sliped on the nerf bars and attached it with U clamps to the front.

My question is: The rear end of the nerf bars are really loose. Am I supposed to drill the pegs and insert and attach it with a bolt? I just want to make sure before I start drilling in the pegs because I don't want to make it weak.

are you sure you have to drill? you shouldnt have to if they are new.

Well, the reason that I'm thinking that I migt have to drill the peg's insert is because there is two extra bolts, washers & self locking nuts included in the hardware and the bolts are long enough to go through the pegs and I can't find any other place that they could fit.
