Just a thought...
Most of the after market parts for your 300ex will fit a 400ex.

Just another thought.. most 400ex are getting there ***'s handed to them on the track with the new quads out now, if ur serious about racing, best to go with an R, or anything liquid.

SHOCKER

Most of the 400s arent getting their *****es whipped. I beat a yfz and trx last night on my 400. The quad doesnt make as big of a difference as the rider.

your full of crap machine.

A yfz could beat the crap out of a 400 without a problem unless you were racing a kid

yup i own both and there is no way that a z will keep up to the r
unless you suck at riding

top end the z will beat the ex but bottom end the ex will beat the z to win a race you need more bottom end to win a race ..but the r will beat all ..

then that is 100% the rider becouse if anayone who raced a half-descent rider on a yfz with a 300, they would get wasted.

Unless it had Nos or something, still could not beet it top end, the engine could blow...

My two cents! Dude, get whatever you like the best.
Someones always going to tell you, your bike sucks.
If your serious about racing, get a 4stroke, your
soon to be living in a 4stroke world. As you become
better you'll be on a team and your bikes will be free.
Then you, BE THE MAN!!!

there is no possible way a 300ex can keep up with either of them unless you have a CBR600RR motor in than thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!:huh

get either a Z, 250R or a banshee or blaster...blasters are so easy to modify

XCAdam89
07-31-2004, 10:32 AM
I would get whatever you are comfortable on, I like my blaster, I feel really comfortable on it ;)

LT250Racer609
07-31-2004, 01:28 PM
no...i ride and race with brian and am good friends with him...he doesnt want a banshee or a blaster..hes lookin for a 4 stroke but will take a 250R because they are still the best race quad alive...blasters would be no diff. then his 300 ex basically in power

brian stfu, u beat him once, and if ur beating yfz and trx all the time then ur not under powered. lets not get cocky. and andrew give me my 20 bucks play boy

and back to topic, since ur so proud of ur self about last night then why are u gunna get a new quad? ur to whimpy to beable to handle a quad bigger, u said my 400 was to heavy for you. the 250r is a little smaller but face it, ur not mechanicly enclined enoigh to change the top end in it every 6 months. or how ever long it should be changed. just keep the 300ex

He has 4 grand, i'd get a 400ex for now. They hold up well, and theres alot you can do to them. When you go up in class, and have the cash pick up a 450.

BlackRaptor
08-08-2004, 02:28 PM
He dude If you got 4000 I would find an old 250r or F'ed up 400ex for like ~2k and replace all crap parts with aftermarket stuff and build a race motor, then you'd be set, thats what I'm doing once I sell my raptor 660, I live in MD anybody want it

K2Snow

Umm, I'll agree that with the right rider, a 300EX will NEVER beat any of the 450s. However, I am yet to be challeneged by ANY quad in the sand dunes on a 300. I only ride sand and I ride 4-5 times a week, it's my second home.

haha yea, its gunna blow up on him one day an hes not gunna know what to do.

i dought u can change a top end if u cant rejett a carberator.

and seeing as the thing is like 16 years old, you better go threw it, those quads are gunna be money pits.

Whoever says you have to rebuild the top end every six months is a ****ing retard! You don't know **** about 2 strokes. And honestly how hard is it to change the top end. I could rebuild my in less than an hour! 4 stroke guys have a myth about 2 strokes that honestly pisses me off that think they have to be rebuilt after every couple rides. You get your jetting right on a 2 stroke and it will be damn near as reliable as anything. Hell my 250R is more reliable than my 300ex I used to have. And good job on finally choosing the right quad. I would much rather have the R than anything out there and believe me the R straight hauls *** on the track! I will put my bike beside any new 4 stroke and hang with them on the track:D

Four Strokes are two too many!!!!
