My buddy traded in his 03 400EX with a full yoshimura system, filter and jet kit for a 04 450-R. The dealer gave him two grand.
Ouch. :confused:

Guess he wanted the 450 now now now and didn't want to take the time to sell the 400 himself.

The dealer gave him 2 grand for the 03 400EX. Thats a good deal?

Florida400EX, the way I am reading it he only got $2000 for his ex, that was not the trade difference.

That is a kick in the sac because you know they'll turn around and have that thing on the showroom for $3500-$4000. Our local dealer has 2 2000 400ex's in decent shape for $3800, after seeing that I felt pretty good only paying $2800 for my 01.

ohhh, I thaught you said he payed a $2000 difference to get the 450R.... yeah he must be dumb to sell for that low.

I'd believe it i had a friend who had a 2001 400ex with yoshi full offroad exhuast shaved fenders and a 440 in it and only got 2600 out of it...dealers sure can be Aholes somtimes

that dealership ben him over & gave it to him without lube....$2k for a 400ex???? wtf was he thinking?

Damn at $2K I'd of bought it even though I already have one and have no plans on buying another! You'd think with these types a forums he'd have had no truoble getting at least a couple hundred bucks more almost as easy as trading it in. Can't blame someone for doing this though cause I know all too well what it'slike to want something NOW!

Ok this got me thinking! I have a friend in the market for a used 400EX (or something in the neighborhood) in the Portland Or area, anybody know of any?

be friends with a dealer and you could get a reeeeeeelly good deal.
